I purchased two rod holders to use while surf fishing, they were terrible. You couldn't just hand drive into sand so l used rubber mallet to assist and first tap the plastic tabs holding halves together started snapping off. I had to use gorilla tape on both holders to hold together to get me by. Adjustments were useless for surf fishing since you had to drive holders down so far to stop them from folding over. I was completely dissatisfied with them and old fashion while holders put these to shame.
