charged me 2 dollars more to ship a whole lb. of tared twine than you did to ship $1.50 worth of plastic. Dishonest shipping practices.

Hello Nathan,

Our shipping charges are not dishonest. Do you expect USPS to charge the same rates today as it did in the past? Fuel and shipping costs change, and even small, lightweight items can have shipping charges that are not much different from those for a one-pound package.

Your needle order was shipped via USPS Ground Advantage, not First-Class Mail. The shipping fee was clearly displayed at checkout before you completed your payment, so you had the opportunity to review the total cost before placing your order.

We have been serving the fishing community in the Tampa area for over 40 years, and we take our business practices seriously. If you want to avoid shipping charges, you are welcome to visit our Tampa store and pick up your order in person.

Best regards,

Not just for repairing nets

I bought the netting needle to use to tie the warp on the front beam of my weaving loom. It works great! I received the order quickly and it was nice to support a small business.

These were suggested (by an instructor) and I am pleased.

These are the first I have ever purchased or owned. I understood them to be made of Delrin. I am hoping they last longer than the average "plastic." I'll be learning net making, mending, etc. with these. I would order replacements or other sizes (if needed/desired) based on the two I received. They are a pretty basic/simple tool in terms of trying to write a review.
